Peirce College has aligned select online courses available through Coursera to help students earn up to 21 undergraduate credits at no cost. Students can also earn three credits towards their master’s degree at Peirce at no cost through Coursera.

This course is for current or aspiring leaders in any type of workplace who want to gain the ability to develop inclusive cultures where everyone feels valued and respected. Offered by the University of Colorado through Coursera, you will learn how highly inclusive leaders from around the world use processes of social influence to interact effectively with individuals from a wide variety of backgrounds.

Leading Diverse Teams and Organizations
In this course, you will gain evidence-based knowledge and practical tools to help you design and lead diverse, equitable, and inclusive (DEI) teams and organizations. Offered by the University of Michigan through Coursera, this course accommodates learners from different backgrounds and starting knowledge points, including those new to the topic and social justice warriors. You will learn to better understand yourself and your personal identity in the workplace and gain new skills to identify privilege, implicit bias and microaggressions in your organization.

Introduction to Personal Finance
This course provides a general overview of a variety of personal finance topics, including budgeting, the importance of your credit score, cash flow, setting financial goals and taxes. The concepts are broken down through videos, readings, and activities so you can apply what you are learning in real time. The course provides the foundation to improve your understanding of basic personal finance terminology, as well as how they apply to your own financial situation.

Saving Money for the Future
In this course, you will learn about the importance of compounding growth, the variables that impact setting goals, such as retirement savings and how much money you need to save now to reach future goals. You will learn to think through individual goals, including retirement, and understand how those goals fit into your bigger financial picture. The course also covers how preparing for emergencies can prevent the derailment of those financial goals.

Through a combination of courses and applied learning projects, you can apply your skills with hands-on projects and build a portfolio that showcases your job readiness to potential employers.
Upon completion, you will have access to job boards where you can apply for jobs directly with Google, IBM and Meta and over 130 U.S. employers who are interested in hiring people who have completed these certificates.
Peirce students can earn one of these Google Career Certificates, the Meta Social Media Marketing Professional Certificate or the IBM Cybersecurity Analyst Professional Certificate at no cost. Students can apply 9 – 12 credits depending on the Google Career Certificates they select, and earn 3 credits for the Meta Social Media Marketing Professional Certificate.
