The project management-oriented labor force is expected to grow by 33% through 2027, according to the Project Management Institute Job Growth and Talent Gap report.

The Project Management Institute report also cites growth for project management-oriented skills and jobs in Healthcare, Manufacturing and Construction, Information Technology and Services, Finance and Insurance, and Management and Professional Services.

 

According to Dice.com, the median annual salary for project managers is about $80,000, but salary information varies with experience.

  • Entry-level employees (0-2 years of experience):  median salary of $56,000
  • Mid-Level employees (3-5 years of experience):   median salary of $80,7000
  • Those with more than 9 years of experience: median salary of $103,000.

*Students who place into developmental education courses and/or who have completed fewer than 15 credits are required to enroll in the Student Success Seminar, PRC 100.

To enroll in this certificate program, students must be eligible for placement in college-level English. Additionally, students without foundational business knowledge and math may benefit from taking additional Business courses. The Kaplan CAPM® Training Course and CAPM® Certification Exam is an acceptable substitute for MIS 302.
