Taking Online Courses as a Busy Adult

Working adults have unique needs. They are not 18-year-olds who have just been around longer.

You take care of your family, go to work every day and have many other responsibilities that you cannot put on hold in order to finish your degree. But you can be successful as an adult learner.

The key is finding an institution that serves you in ways that fit your life, not the other way around.

Contact Admissions to learn more about taking online courses as a busy adult.

Earning Credit for What You Already Know

Students can earn credits for what they already know at Peirce College through a process called Prior Learning Assessment (PLA).  At Peirce, we use the following methods of prior learning assessment that enable students to save time and money by earning credit for college-level knowledge they have acquired outside of a traditional college classroom:

  • Credit-by-exam, including CLEP and DSST exams
  • Professional and military training that has been evaluated and recommended for credit by the American Council on Education College Credit Recommendation Service
  • Select professional certifications, including IT and Health Information Technology certifications
  • Portfolio assessment

Contact Admissions to learn more about saving time and money via prior learning assessment.
