You will be prepared to sit for one of the following certifications, which are in-demand by employers: 

Graduates will be eligible to sit for the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT®) exam, Certified Coding Specialist (CCS®) exam and Certified Coding Specialist- Physician-based (CCS-P®); and the American Academy of Professional Coders™ (AAPC) Certified Professional Coder CPC® exam. Both are highly desired by employers and will help you stand out among other job candidates. 

The coursework is designed to teach you sound theoretical knowledge and give you the opportunity to apply the principles of health information technology based upon AHIMA competencies.
