The Peirce College Health Information Technology program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management Education (CAHIIM).
An independent organization that accredits institutes of higher learning, CAHIIM establishes and enforces strict Accreditation Standards for Health Informatics and Health Information Management (HIM) education programs.
Accredited organizations like Peirce College have demonstrated academic quality. CAHIIM-accredited healthcare degrees educate students on the requisite skills and instill the proper knowledge to make them highly marketable to employers in the healthcare field. Employers receive assurance that graduates of such programs are prepared to step into a role in the modern electronic health record environment. Peirce has achieved CAHIIM accreditation in addition to its college-wide accreditation by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education.
To achieve eligibility to take the exams and achieve certification, graduates must first complete an accredited program.
