PHILADELPHIA, PA – Dr. Rita Toliver-Roberts, Peirce’s Vice President of Academic Affairs and Provost, has been recognized by City & State PA as a 2025 Above & Beyond honoree. She was chosen for the annual award for her 30 years of work in higher education, advancing student success and innovative academic programming. “Dr. Toliver-Roberts approach to higher education and student success has made Peirce a model in the realm of student service,” said Dr. Mary Ellen Caro, Peirce President and CEO. “Her dedication to opening access to collegiate study for adult learners has led to many of the innovations in Peirce’s portfolio. We are grateful for all of her work over the last three decades and that City & State PA has recognized her
with this honor.” 

Dr. Toliver-Roberts currently serves as the chief academic officer at Peirce, leading academic and strategic initiatives designed to enhance postsecondary access and success for adult learners. She is responsible for Peirce’s academic programs, graduate and undergraduate faculty, strategic partnerships, institutional and academic program accreditation, articulation agreements, and curriculum development.

Dr. Toliver-Roberts will be celebrated at an awards ceremony tonight, March 25, 2025, in Philadelphia.
