What are you thankful for this Thanksgiving?

What are you thankful for this Thanksgiving?

As the days get colder here in Philadelphia and the last leaves begin to fall from the trees, we hope you all take a moment to remember all that you are thankful for this Thanksgiving holiday.

The Peirce community is thankful for many things, such as our wonderful students, supportive alumni, and dedicated faculty and staff. Here’s what a few of our Peirce people had to say when we asked them what they are thankful for:

“I am thankful for the opportunity to serve the Peirce community in fulfilling the College’s mission of transforming lives and consider myself blessed to work with such wonderfully dedicated and talented faculty, staff, students, alumni, and board members.” — Jim Mergiotti, President and CEO

“I am thankful for the spirit of perseverance of our students and alumni as they navigate the job search process. I am thankful for their willingness to be risk takers. I am especially thankful for every internship, work study, co-op, and full-time job they are able to secure. I am thankful for being in a space where we can see lives impacted, changed, transformed.” — Uva Coles, Dean, Career Management Services

“I am thankful for our faculty and staff who are so committed to supporting our students in their goals for academic success.” — Patricia Rucker, Senior Vice President, Academic Advancement & Provost

“I am thankful for the opportunity to impact the lives of so many individuals. Making a difference in the lives of students is a gift that keeps on giving.” — Rita Toliver-Roberts, Dean of Students

“I am thankful to be part of a College community that is dedicated to the mission of transforming lives. I am particularly thankful for the unending support that comes from our alumni base in pushing forward with that mission. To every alumni member who has served on our advisory committee, been a panel member for one of our networking events, joined us as a guest speaker for a class session, volunteered to be part of the scholarship review process, generated a position lead opportunity for one of our students, kept us updated on industry perspectives, represented the College through professional association affiliation, joined us with recruitment initiatives, taken on adjunct teaching roles, helped to communicate our vision and mission, served as a mentor/sounding board resource base for a current student, and represented us so well in the legal community … thank you!” — Edwin B. Miller, J.D., Professor and Assistant Dean, Legal Studies

“I am thankful to be part of a wonderful community with a great mission. Happy holidays to all!” — Lisa Paris, Assistant Vice President, Marketing/Communications

“I am thankful for the opportunity to transform students’ lives. I am also thankful to work with such wonderful staff and faculty and appreciate all that they do for Peirce College.” — Jon Lenrow, Associate Dean
