A History of Diversity at Peirce College

This month’s 150th anniversary cartoon celebrates Peirce’s focus on inclusion and the celebration of our diverse backgrounds.

Peirce has always had a long-standing commitment to diversity. As we celebrate our 150th anniversary, we look back and reflect on our place in the history of diversity in education, from being one of the first schools to accept women students, to creating a breakthrough Spanish-American department, and taking a public stance on issues of the day that impact our diverse culture.
