In December 2016, Peirce College sadly lost one of the most respected and well-liked members of its community. Professor Edwin B. Miller served the Peirce learning community for more than 16 years, creating Peirce College’s Legal Studies programs
and educating countless adult learners, helping them to begin or advance their legal careers. Today, the College seeks to continue Professor Miller’s proud tradition of helping mold legal minds, but we need your help to do it.
The Edwin B. Miller Scholarship financially supports students enrolled in Peirce College’s Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies in Business and Criminal Justice programs. The founding donors of the fund have pledged to make this scholarship possible,
but they can’t do it alone. They need the help of alumni giving and scholarship donations from students and friends of the College. Our community's full support can amplify the fund's impact.
The founders (Glenn Barnes, J.D., Ruth Shaber, M.D., Ivy Kempf, J.D. and Cynthia Gentile, J.D.) have made a 4:1 pledge for dollars raised through charitable giving from other sources. Peirce will place all scholarship donations in a true endowment
with an annual draw in accordance with the College's endowment spending policy. The College will use this yearly drawing for the sole purpose of providing a scholarship to students in Peirce's legal programs.
Peirce will award the scholarship annually to students who have a minimum GPA of 2.5 or higher and will have already completed at least 12 college-level credits at Peirce. These students will have demonstrated financial need as well as the virtues
of commitment, scholarship and compassion that were emblematic of Professor Miller’s work.
Please consider making a gift to help our students realize their dream of attaining a college degree. To participate in the scholarship donations and alumni giving that will make this
fund possible, please click the “Give Back to Peirce” link below or contact Steve Evans, Senior Director, Advancement today at sbevans@peirce.edu or
