The J. Linford Snyder ’33 Scholarship Fund (1997)

Purpose

In December 1988, Mr. J. Linford Snyder ’33 established a scholarship fund with the purpose of providing scholarships to students who demonstrate financial need, academic success, and involvement in school or community activities. After seeing the successes of the first scholarship fund, he generously established a second fund to help additional students.

Award

Award of up to $1500. There are a limited number of scholarships available.

Eligibility criteria:

  • Peirce College undergraduate student
  • Maintain a GPA of 3.0 or above
  • Demonstrate financial need
  • File a 2023-2024 Free Application for Federal Student Aid prior to submitting a scholarship application

Application Requirements

Interested students must submit all application materials by the deadline. 

  • Completed Common Scholarship Application
  • Applicants must submit two (2) letters of recommendation by the deadline.
  • Applicants must submit an essay by the deadline. The essay should highlight the applicant's involvement in Peirce College or non-college activities, such as current employment, church, or community organizations.
