Many of our students take advantage of the various tutoring services we offer through the Walker Center for Academic Excellence at the Peirce College campus in Philadelphia, PA. Tutoring service is available free of charge!

As a Peirce College student, you can request individual appointments, group tutoring and assistance via telephone. Appointments for on-campus tutoring services are available during the day, evening and on Saturdays for 30 or 60-minute sessions and are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis. The Walker Center also responds to tutoring questions submitted via email and fax and will have the first available tutor respond to you.

In case you can’t make it out here for our campus tutoring service, Peirce has partnered with SMARTHINKING, an online tutoring service for your convenience. Like our on-campus tutoring services, SMARTHINKING is available to Peirce students free of charge. You’ll be able to connect with a live e-structor (tutor), submit writing assignments to the Online Writing Lab and ask questions. Fifteen hours of tutor time is available to each student for use during each academic year.

For especially challenging courses, Supplemental Instruction (SI) is available. Trained SI Leaders attend every class session and conduct SI sessions outside of the classroom at convenient times each week.

The Walker Center also provides academic counseling, disability services and workshops and events to enhance your academic journey.
