Going Beyond the Classroom with Peirce’s Student Associations & Honor Societies Meet-Up

Get ready for a night full of networking, financial experts, and new friendships!

This year’s Student Associations & Honor Societies Meet-Up is back and better than ever with new speakers, new ways to win prizes, and new ways to get involved. At this event, students from all programs have the opportunity to meet students in other majors, learn how to take their college experience to the next level, and take part in a free exclusive financial counseling workshop.

Let’s break all of that down just a bit.

Meeting Other Students: When you attend this event, you will get to network with others who are in the same position as you balancing work, life, and school. You can share stories, play Peirce Quizzo together, and join the same organizations to continue growing your leadership and skill set side-by-side. This is the perfect way to create lasting relationships.

Taking Your College Experience Beyond the Classroom: Not only will students who are looking to get more involved be in attendance, but so will faculty members and other students who are already involved. These attendees will be available for break-out sessions to teach you all about their specific student association or honor society. The associations and honor societies planning to be in attendance are:

  1. Legal Studies Student Association
  2. Information Technology Student Association
  3. Delta Mu Delta Honor Society
  4. Health Programs Student Association
  5. Society for Human Resource Management
  6. Graduate Student Association
  7. Business Division Student Association
  8. Lambda Epsilon Chi Honor Society

Free Financial Counseling Workshop: Sonia Lewis, the Student Loan Doctor, will be presenting on best practices for managing your finances, specifically your student loans, at this event. Attendees will receive exclusive tips from the expert and get the chance to meet with her personally to discover ways to better your finances personally and professionally.

This event is open to all students! So, tell a classmate and come to campus on Thursday, September 26th at 5:30 p.m. in College Hall, Rooms 51 & 52. Let us know you’re coming by registering today at www.peirce.edu/studentmeetup.
