Introducing Business Administration And The New Business Division Student Association

Did you know according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, “Employment of business and financial operations occupations is projected to grow 10 percent from 2016 to 2026,” which is faster than a majority of other occupations and means that over 750,000 new jobs will be created! As if the new jobs aren’t enticing enough, the, “median annual wage for business and financial occupations was $67,710 in May 2017, which was higher than the median annual wage for all occupations.”

Are you now ready to get started with earning your business degree?

Well you are at the right place because Peirce Means Business! Since the doors opened in 1865, Peirce has been teaching business skills to working adults. The Business Administration program at Peirce has kept the long standing tradition going by equipping students with the skills needed to land the plentiful jobs available and coming in the future.

The Business Administration program offers both an associate and bachelor’s degree, so no matter where your goals lie, we have what you need. The Business Administration program is designed to position graduates with knowledge in many facets of business such as operations management, human resources, policy and strategy formulation, accounting, finance, ethics and business law.

Want something more focused? We also offer two concentrations within the Business Administration program; concentration in Management, and a concentration in Small Business/Entrepreneurship. Each of these concentrations offers in-depth study as an accompaniment to the Business Administration degree.

In addition to gaining classroom experience and workforce knowledge, all current Business Administration students (and all current Business students at Peirce!) are automatically a member of the new Business Division Student Association (BDSA). This opportunity is just beginning, but it will advance and heighten students’ experiences to a new level. By getting involved, students will add depth to their education, be able to network with industry professionals and connect with peers and faculty in a unique setting.

“The Business Division Student Association is a great way to expand your professional network. Students range from entry level to senior level positions and can give insight in this career field. Also, having BDSA, we have something that can draw us closer as students to help better enjoy our college experience,” said Corey Hinson, who is a current Peirce student and is the Vice President of the Business Division Student Association.

The BDSA will begin offering programming throughout the year as of 2019 in conjunction with the Business Division and Career Development Services that focuses on a variety of topics that will enhance opportunities for students and graduates entering a field, advancing in a field or simply polishing skills.

“One of our initial goals is to establish a professional network in the Greater Philadelphia Area that strives to develop, cultivate and promote talent at all levels. Our focus is on training the next generation of business leaders through continued education initiatives and positive internship experiences,” explained Dominic Catapano, current Peirce student, and the President of the Business Division Student Association.
