If you’re thinking about going back to school for a graduate degree, you probably have a lot of questions running through your mind: How much work is involved? How much will it cost? Will I be successful? Will a graduate degree improve my career?

We often share advice to answer some of these tough questions here on the blog. However, we recently spoke with Steven Rodriguez, a 2007 alumnus of the College and one of the first students accepted into the inaugural graduate class, and he had some advice of his own for fellow adult learners: Don’t sell yourself short on the opportunity to earn your degree, and don’t get discouraged.

Steven knows a thing or two about balancing earning a college degree with the rest of life’s responsibilities. By day, he works at Southwest Airlines, and by night, Steven hosts his own Internet talk show, The No Notes Show LLC, ®, which is committed to educating listeners on local news, politics, and entertainment in a positive way. He also has a family to take care of. Steven earned his bachelor’s degree at Peirce while working full-time, and plans to return to Peirce College to earn his master’s degree in Organizational Leadership & Management as a working adult as well.

We wanted to share more of Steven’s story with you, so we asked him to sit down for a podcast to talk about his experiences and how Peirce has helped him achieve his life goals.

We’re so glad Steven is continuing his education with a master’s degree to improve his personal and professional life. Best of luck, Steven! If you have any questions for him, feel free to leave them in a comment below.
