To receive financial aid for the first disbursement in Summer 2023-2024, students must ensure that all financial aid documents are processed by May 17, 2024.  However, please note that refund dates do not apply to all students.

The next scheduled Summer 2023-2024 refund disbursements will occur on June 17, 2024. This published refund date is when the funds will be sent to BankMobile. It may take 24 to 48 hours to receive the funds, depending on your refund selection, once BankMobile receives the funds.

The Summer 2023-2024 semester comprises of three sessions: Session 5, Session 6 and Summer 15-week courses.

Session 5 classes will begin on May 6, 2024, and end on June 24, 2024. 

Session 6 classes will begin on July 1, 2024, and end on August 18, 2024. 

Summer 15-week courses run continuously from May 6, 2024 till August 18, 2024.

If a student is receiving financial aid, the amount will be divided between the two sessions of the semester, even if they are only taking classes in one session. If you have any questions regarding your financial aid eligibility, please feel free to contact our office.

What is checked prior to Peirce issuing my student refund?

Prior to issuing your student refund, Peirce will check for the following conditions:

- Account Credit: After your financial aid has been applied to your billing statement, if it is determined that you have a credit (meaning money that will come back to you), then a refund will be reviewed and issued if eligible.

- Attendance: Your attendance and participation are directly related to the percentage of earned financial aid awards.

- Submission of transcripts: If you have a high school or college transcript hold, your funds will not be approved by the Department of Education. An official transcript must be submitted to the Registrar's Office for review and acceptance. If you have a GED or have earned an Associate's Degree from another college or university, please forward this information to the Registrar's Office for review.

- Number of credits: If you have dropped a course(s) and/or have withdrawn from a course(s), this may delay, decrease or eliminate your anticipated refund. Your financial aid was determined and processed based on the original number of credits you decided to pursue for the semester. Changes to these classes could change your Federal and/or PA State Awards.

- Laptop purchase: Best Buy Computer Purchase Program: By enrolling in the Best Buy Computer Purchase Program, your federal funding will be disbursed during the even sessions disbursement schedule (second session of the semester).

What service does Peirce use to deliver my refund?

Peirce College uses BankMobile Disbursements to deliver your refund. BankMobile Disbursements is a technology solution powered by BMTX, Inc. You can find more information by clicking here. Additionally, you can view Peirce College's contract with BankMobile Disbursements by clicking here. 

To set up your BankMobile Preference, you will receive a mailer and an email with instructions. Simply follow the enclosed instructions to make your choice. If you have not received your code via email or mail, you can contact the student billing office by emailing billing1@peirce.edu.
